World Pet Obesity Week Launches with 2025 Global Survey and New Resources for Pet Owners and Veterinary Teams

LELAND, NC – The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of pet obesity through education and research, announced today the launch of its 2025 Pet Obesity & Nutrition Opinion Survey. The survey opens October 1, 2025, to coincide with World Pet Obesity Week (October 6–12, 2025) and will remain open through December 31, 2025.

This annual survey gathers insights from veterinary professionals, pet owners, and members of the pet health industry about how obesity and nutrition are perceived and managed in pets. The results help guide the development of tools, educational resources, and strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce obesity in dogs and cats.

Veterinary practices, pet health companies, and industry leaders are encouraged to share the survey link with their teams, clients, and audiences to help broaden participation and ensure diverse representation.
